Prayer:
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel - which is really no gospel at all." Galatians 1:6-7
Let us pray that for a greater understanding and appreciation of the gospel - the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Fasting:
This morning (and for the next six days) I decided to have a glass of Ensure supplement drink. One serving is equivalent to a complete meal so I didn't really feel hungry for hours after drinking.
For lunch, I had tortilla soup. My fave is Yellow Cab's. I tried to make my own version using the following and some more.

To make the soup, saute in oil chopped garlic and onion. Pour Campbell's tomato soup and add chicken broth (or beef or pork).
Stir and bring the mixture to a boil.
Add corn kernels. Add water if it gets too thick. Remember we are making soup, not sauce.
Let it simmer.
Spices are what makes a tortilla soup.
Add cumin powder, cayenne or chili powder, salt and pepper.
I added small amount of dried ground basil. I just like it in my soup so it's really optional.
It's not tortilla soup without the crushed tortilla chips. (I didn't have tortilla chips, though so I used nachos.)

I was actually happy with it. It was better than what I came up with last year.
It was a li'l too hot, though. I used cream corn which gave it a sweet taste so I decided to add more spices...so eating it was quite challenging. :)
